CV & BIO
Alexander Leshchenok (b. 1974) and Marina Ogneva (b. 1980) are emerging interdisciplinary artists from Siberia. Their long-standing practice in landscape photography has shaped a sustained interest in landscape and the processes of its transformation. Alongside their ongoing photographic practice, they develop contemporary art projects in which landscape becomes not only a subject of observation but also a site of research.
Working with photography, cyanotype, land art, and installation, the artists explore environmental transformation, the impact of human activity, and the relationship between people and landscape.
Alexander was born in Abakan, Republic of Khakassia, and Marina in Kyrgyzstan. Both are members of the Russian Union of photography artists. The duo lives and works in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia.
