The photographic series “On the Ruins of Time” explores the human condition at a moment of radical shift, when the familiar structures that once held the world together begin to collapse.

The project constructs a space in which the image no longer reflects reality but becomes a device for registering an inner disintegration that follows the collapse of a former order of being.

The visual architecture of the series is structured through rupture: space fragments, images overlap in layers, and lines become unstable. Rather than reproducing external destruction, this fragmentation models a mode of perception in which time loses its linear continuity and consciousness its grounding. What emerges is a sense of existing in a world where the past cannot be restored and the future resists imagination.

The aesthetic of the series resonates with Tarkovsky’s understanding of the image as a vessel of memory, loss, and incompleteness. Silence and light become active elements of the visual language, creating a density in which the human subject undergoes transformation.

The series emphasizes a transitional moment — a space between destruction and the possibility of continuation. The human figure does not assert itself but searches for a way to remain within the fractured grid of the world.
